The New Generation Vocalist There was a time when singers used to be good singers, but without any exposure to the wider world around them. Female vocalists were rare to find. Fortunately, for Indian Classical Music, that condition has changed. Today we come across a smarter generation of artistes; modern in appearance, broader in outlook, dedicated to art, culturally awake, socially aware and so on! One such female vocalist is Kasturi Paigude.
Kasturi is a disciple of the renowned vocalist Mrs. Arati Ankalikar-Tikekar. Under her watchful eyes and systematic training, Kasturi has matured into a confident singer with a well-seasoned melodious voice, aesthetic renditions of different Raag structures, a good command of different musical embellishments like gamaks, taans, meends, etc. Along with Khayals, Kasturi is at ease with light musical genres like Dadras, Bhajans etc. as well. She has featured in a number of stage programmes and recordings in and around Pune and her performances have been appreciated on many music platforms.
Kasturi has completed her M.A. (Music) with first class from the Centre for Performing Arts, University of Pune. She also holds a ‘Visharad’ degree in music with distinction, awarded by the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and a B.A. in English Literature, from the University of Pune.
She was the recipient of merit scholarships for her higher studies, from reputed organizations like Lila Poonawalla Foundation, Bhogate Trust, Maharashtra Executor Society’s Bank of Maharashtra Scholarship.
She has recorded her voice for album 'Mi Premika'( an album of 8 marathi love songs), produced by Akaanksha creations.The songs are written and composed by Abhijit Kumbhar.

Bharatanatyam dancer from Pune , India , he began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of 4 1/2 under Guru Rema Shrikant http://www.ecpa.org.in/ in the kalakshetra style. He learnt for 15 years under her.
During his brief stay in Lucknow , Parimal also learnt from Guru Vasanti Subramanium at the Bhakhande School of Music and Dance which is now Bhatkhande University.
He completed his Masters in Bharatanatyam under Guru Dr.Sucheta Chapekar (www.kalavardhini.org of Tanjavur style ).
His dissertation in the final year was“ Angika(Body Language) in Bharatanatyam from Bharata's times till know”. The study of Angika(Body Language) is his area of interest. This study has led him to Guru Jayashree Rajagopalan (disciple of Dr. Padma Subrhamanyam) http://www.jayashreerajagopalan.com where he is also undergoing training in Bharata Nrityam since 2000.
He is taking guidance in structure( Musical and Choreography) of Abhinaya Padams in Bharatanatyam from Guru Smita Mahajan ( senior disciple of Guru Sucheta Chapekar)

Recepient of National Scholarship for Dance , the national title –Singarmani , Pt.Vishnu Digambat Paluskar Puraskar, Junior Research Fellowship from the UGC. He has performed in several festivals in India and Abroad.

Parimal believes that “Content inspires the form”. It is this belief that has inspired Parimal to choreograph several productions – “Nayaka” , “Svarnim” , “Shakti” and “Kavyanjali”
THE RESEARCHER
Parimal’s research is based on the concept of “Nayaka” or male protagonist . He has added several compositions to Research on the concept of a “Hero” or Nayaka. He has created new compositions to enhance the scope of a male dancer in the Bharatanatyam repertoire under the able guidance of Guru Smita Mahajan.
THE WRITER
Parimal is an avid writer on dance . He has contributed articles to several e-zines and regional magazines . He has also contributed to the Encyclopedia on Hinduism project of Univ. of South Carolina .
THE PHILOSOPHER
"I feel I am trying to trace the past, blend in the present, and see the future. Thus, my experience in performing and choreographing for dance deals with the following three main aspects. 1) Indian dance as was present during Bharata, the most ancient scholar on dance, drama and music. 2) Indian dance as is present today , the principles behind the repertoire of Bharatanatyam. 3) Dance as it would evolve for tomorrow."

have done many marathi movies icluding "Sarakarnama","Bindhast","Saawarkhed ek gaav" "Mi Tuzhich Re", "Kaaydyach Bola", "Mukhavate" and "Mission Champion". I have also worked in a Hindi movie 'Paheli', direceted by Amol Palekar. The movie had Shahrukh Khan and Rani Mukherji in leading roles. I have acted in many TV shows like "Bhatkanti", "Peshwai", "Reshimgaathi". I have performed all over india in shows like Khajuraho Festival, Konark Festival, Hampee Festival, Pandit Durgalal Festival(Mumbai), Kathak Festival(Delhi) and Pune Festival. I have also done international shows in UK, Germany, Vietnam and France.
I bagged best actress award by Screen and Filmfare for my role in the movie "Bindhast". I have also won Alpha Gaurav Award for "Bhatkanti". I have also received many awrads including Nargis Datt Award (Pune Government), Kalaa Gaurav Award, Singaarmani Award for my Dancing.

I have choreographed for movies "Bayoo","Maaybaap", "Paash" and one video song for Lata didi's album "Maitra Jiwanche". Since I was there in all these songs, choreographing was not much difficult job. Its an easy job when you have to choreograph for yourself 'cause you are very much aware of your skills and limits. But when it comes to directing somebody else it becomes very difficult as you are not fully aware of the other person's capabilities. It is possible that you both may think from different perspectives and some problems may arise.

Chaitanya is one of the leading young artistes having accompanied maestros such as Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Kishori Amonkar, Pt. Dinkar Kaikini, Dr. Prabha Atre, Pt. Ramashrey Jha, Pt. Chaitanya has brilliantly composed music for Kathak dance and choreographies, such as ‘Amoorta’, ‘Rituchakra’, ‘Krishna Leela Keertan', ‘Vasudhatmika’; Oddissi dance ballet ‘Shaakuntal’ and BharatNatyam dance ballets, ‘Wyatha Bolate Kawya Chirantan’ and ‘NrityaSanchit’, ‘Parashuraam-Vijay’, ‘Panchatattwamritam’.
Especially his compositions of Chatarang, Saragam, Bhajans, etc. are choreographed and performed by various Kathak and BharatNatyam dancers. ‘Srujan-Prawaah’ is an exclusive performance of Chaitanya’s compositions for Kathak dance.
